Shingo Katayama's Asics Golf Shoes Promised For November

I’ve been wanting to talk about these golf shoes for a long time.  If you want to follow the Golf Shoes Blog trail on Asics golf shoes, follow this link.  Now they are promised for sale in novemebr but I’m not 100% sure if ths will be in all markets.  I got this news and pictures from Golf To Impress from where you can order them soon.
There will be three main golf shoe ranges – the first as Shingo wore in the Masters are the Gelace Top available in silver/white or black /silver or green with white (artificial leather).  Sizes will be limited as Japanese feet are small!  Pictured top left.
Next will be the slightly less expensive Tour (at about $195 – against the Top golf Shoes at $225), as pictured below right.
asics-gelace-tour-golf-shoesThere are also new Asics golf shoes for ladies at even less ($165)… subject to a separate post.  Each of the three ranges are most ditinctive for the unique-looking heel.  A higher heel has always been an excepted wisdom for a better stance in golf shoe design but never has it looked so high-tech.
Asics of course have made sport shoes and running shoes for a long time and have an amazing reputation (especially in Japan and the Pacific region) but have taken quite a while to get these golf shoes to market – presumably to get it right.  the key to these golf shoes is the gel which protects from fatigue and helps performance.
