ASICS Earns Runner's World 2010 International "Shoe of the Year" Award

ASICS® America Corporation is proud to announce that Runner’s World Magazine, the
worldwide authority on running information, has awarded the ASICS GEL-Nimbus® 12 the
International “Best Update” award. The award was presented to ASICS during a
special ceremony at the magazine’s 2010 International Shoe Summit in New York City.
This is the fifth time an ASICS shoe has been awarded this top honor.
“We truly appreciate and are extremely humbled to receive this award as recognition
by those who evaluate and wear our products. It validates the efforts put forth
globally to exceed the expectations of our new and existing consumers,” says Jim

In addition to this honor, ASICS also received an “Editor’s Choice” award for the
GT-2160™ from Runner’s World, which will be featured in the Winter Shoe Guide
(December 2010 issue) currently on newsstands in the U.S. According to Runner’s
World wear-testers, “the cushioning had a good balance of firmness and softness.”
The GT-2160 was compared against 15 distinguished pairs of shoes from other leading
brands that were tested and reviewed by Runner’s World.
Runner’s World magazine, awards one distinguished shoe style each year the
prestigious International “Best Update” award. The publication noted that the GEL-
Nimbus 12 won top honors from global wear testers and praised the fit, feel and
asymmetrical lacing pattern. The shoe was selected by a panel of International Runner
’s World editors from the 15 countries in which the magazine is published
(Australia/New Zealand, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, The
Netherlands/Belgium, Philippines, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, the United
Kingdom and the United States).
